I guess this song is in the movie Dirty Dancing. And as much as I would like to claim that this post was made in honor of the late and great Patrick Swayze and his hair, those weren’t the original intentions. Consider them a belated – yet important – addition.

This era of music was incredible. The raw vocals and undeniable energy brought forth by the live bands and backup singers was amazing. Not to mention the choreography. I didn’t know anything about The Ronnettes until I came across this song, however, I soon learned that this jam sits in the 22nd position on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Songs list. Pretty awesome.

2 things to pay close attention to on this video:
1) Ronnie’s arm extension at 0:38
2) The amazing backup dancers

Lastly, I think it would be amazing if She & Him covered this song. Don’t you think?
