As per this instagram post, “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers has been stuck in my head all week.
Not to mention, all of the rain we have been experiencing in Southern California is making this place bloom like crazy. What used to be brown hills are now lush green landscapes covered with wildflowers.

This isn’t a new album, but I have been absolutely loving it recently. It was hard to choose a favorite song from the David Bowie covers performed in Portuguese by the Brazilian artists Seu Jorge (many of which were featured in Wes Anderson’s movie The Life Aquatic). “Life On Mars?” was the winner in the end, and yes those are the only lyrics I understand in the whole song, but the rendition is beautiful nonetheless.

The San Francisco based rock duo Two Gallants haven’t released much new music in recent years, but if you never taken a journey through their discography it’s definitely worth a pass. Let this single be an introduction to their melodic and emotion-filled style.
